DisplayMate Technologies has developed a fully automatic factory and/or field calibration system for all displays and HDTVs using a very fast and fully automatic advanced mathematical optimization algorithm that provides a visually perfect 0.5 MPCD Minimum Perceptible Color Difference calibration (throughout the entire color space) together with a substantially higher calibrated brightness than is achievable with traditional calibration methods. Single pass with absolutely no human intervention or tweaking needed. Manufacturers can use it to improve picture quality and increase brightness while substantially reducing panel costs and manufacturing time. AVMDO -- Adaptive Variable Metric Display Optimizer. Currently running via software - looking for a partner to get it implemented on a chip as a principal component for all mobile displays, computer monitors, projectors and HDTVs. Contact DisplayMate Technologies.
Our latest Display Technology Shoot-Out articles on LCD and Plasma technology have shocking results on Viewing Angles, Extended Color Gamuts, Dynamic Contrast, Response Time, and Motion Blur.

Designed, tested and installed color television broadcast equipment for the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City.
Developed a detailed mathematical computer model of a color television system, from the spectra of the set lighting, the camera optics, sensors, electronics, encoders and output signals to the television receiver decoders, picture tube and calibration settings that was used to quantitatively parameterize, calculate, predict, analyze and optimize the overall end-to-end picture quality, colorimetry and color accuracy.
