I ventured into seo in early 2003 with a small start-up after almost 6 years of building websites with no seo in mind. To teach myself the affects that on-site and off-site changes have on rankings and traffic I set up a group of test sites with different goals to keep in line with the current seo trends. I've been doing seo since 2003 (web design since 1997) for large ecommerce websites, small business who want to capture the local market for their product set, and most recently for 2 large content websites in Chicago (highbeam.com & Encyclopedia.com). I attend every conference I can including SMX Advanced, Pubcon, and SES to sharpen my skills and network with the top seo's and internet marketers from around the world.
