BSC(Hons) 2.1 , 1997 — 2001
Level 1 provided the fundamentals needed to complete the rest of the course and the opportunity to work for Interactive Media, crediting a Kiosk application. Level 2 allowed me to focus my efforts on subjects I had a particular interest in, such as: Internet & Business (A), Creative Design (A-) and Understanding Information (B+). Level 3 was in the form of an Industrial Placement. I worked for Netranet Limited and for MARCHCom (now twenty-six), part of the Incepta Group (now Huntsworth). Level 4 allowed me the opportunity to home in on the topics that interested me: Desktop TV & Digital Convergence (A) and Advanced Human Computer Interaction (B+).
Based upon providing the skills needed to assess, recommend and implement information systems, my course provided me with a unique insight into how computer information systems should work both logically and physically.
I enjoy following the careers of architects such as Richard Rogers and Norman Foster. Their architectural designs have often inspired some of my own web page designs. Science fiction especially Star Trek has inspired me to envisage how the world might/will develop. When I find the time for physical recreation I like to play Badminton, Basketball and Softball of which I am part of the BHF team. I like to relax by listening to music ranging from Alanis Morissette to Mozart.
I am a member of the British Computer Society, BCS Internet Specialist Group, and the Design Museum.
