Morgan Ramsay is a serial entrepreneur, three-time CEO, and practiced musician who has experience in music, movies, and video games.
Since 2008, Mr. Ramsay has served as President/CEO at Entertainment Media Council, the national association for entrepreneurs and corporate leaders in interactive entertainment. He works to advance the business of video games in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, social responsibility, leadership development, and global strategy.
For seven years, he was President/CEO at Heretic, a privately owned ad agency that worked with defense and entertainment clients ranging from the small business to the Fortune Global 500, such as DRS Technologies (now Finmeccanica), Gastronaut Studios (now PopCap Games), and the USS Midway Museum. Mr. Ramsay handled business development, strategy and creative direction, and led several projects, including ghostwriting sealed messages from the 43rd President of the United States of America.
Mr. Ramsay also served as President/CEO at DiabloTrader.com, an online virtual-goods company, which he sold after a year of success. Prior to DiabloTrader.com, he designed brand identity systems and websites for technology and entertainment companies.
In addition, Mr. Ramsay advises start-ups and nonprofit organizations on board governance, business strategy, and production. He serves as Advisor at Coronado Promenade Concerts, a staple of Coronado life that has produced summer concerts in Spreckels Park for four decades; and as Advisor at San Diego Filmmakers, a filmmakers association whose events have featured speakers such as Battlestar Galactica's Richard Hatch, Hellboy's Doug Jones, and Star Trek's Jimmy Diggs. Mr. Ramsay formerly served as Vice Chairman and Director of Events, San Diego at International Game Developers Association, where he produced events at venues such as Qualcomm Auditorium and the San Diego Convention Center.
