What is Pre-Scan?
Pre-Scan is the next step in active suspensions developement. It employs twin laser scanners to check the roadway ahead of the car, with the hydraulically controlled suspension then "proactively" compensating for any detected obstacles or hindrances — in effect, leveling out the pavement.
Pre-Scan was first presented at the IAA in Frankfurt 2007 in the F700 Research Car.
