Optiver is a leading derivatives market making & arbitrage trading house in Europe, South Asia & Australia.
• Primary Market Maker for derivatives on energy, automotive & pharmaceutical stocks. Provided liquidity for instruments expiring till December 2012. Handled many desks including those of some of the senior-most traders
• Arbitrage: explored equity arbitrage opportunities on the basis of (i) correlation of different stocks & indices, (ii) pair arbitrage
(high frequency statistical arbitrage - trading upto 2.5 million stocks for individual equities in a single day on the screen)
• In the arbitrage desk, doubled P&L returns against historic levels (despite regulatory changes preventing trading in 5 out of 11 stocks on that desk).
