I started coding when I was 11-years-old and I haven't stopped since.
I am currently the CTO of Local Dirt, a marketplace for local food - the fastest growing segment of the food industry.
Prior to Local Dirt, I was the Founder & CTO of Carsala, a venture capital backed start-up that introduced a revolutionary used car buying service. Before Carsala, I worked in product management at eBay and web development at Deloitte. I started my career as an early employee at a software start-up called Bridgewater Systems (TSE:BWC). I also started and sold an online career services company in Canada. While completing my MBA at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, I worked as an associate at O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures - a seed stage venture capital firm affiliated with O'Reilly Media that funds the disruptors, innovators, and hackers of the status quo. I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. Raised in Istanbul, Turkey, I am a husband, a dad, a Canadian, a Torontonian, a sailor, a dog lover, a foodie and a soccer nut.
