Interaction Strategist, Designer & Engineer
The Hague Area, Netherlands
At Q42 I'm in the process of establishing the company's interaction engineering team, consisting of myself and two others at present, and defining the operational scope within which we work.
Before that, I worked as a software engineer for project work with a specific focus on user friendly implementations and as an unofficial UI conventions advisor.
As personal growth takes me from my roots in graphic design, through web design and development, towards interaction and game design, I find myself applying these skills across many fields and learning to observe projects from a bird's eye view as a result.
My insight and experience in a variety of backgrounds has given me an ability to foresee problems in projects before they happen, offer constructive options and solutions if they happen, and through my experience with being in the programming trenches, know how to implement them myself.

I combine interaction design with software engineering in order to design and develop software user interfaces based on my experience with web culture and patterns. I'm also involved in an advisory role with several teams, assisting in translating business goals into effective user experiences. Further, I help clients decide on what the right course of action on the web is for them, based on examples of successful businesses around the Internet.
