My design background began in the print field, but throughout my career, I've gotten accustomed to adapting to various types of media. For the past few years, my experience has grown a web designer, I use design concepts in conjunction with XHTML and CSS to create clean, standards compliant websites. I've had the opportunity to work on several site redesigns, and designed and hand coded many sites from the ground up. Along the way, I've also learned search engine optimization standards and utilized analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Omniture to measure and improve ROI. I work with sites coded in ASP.NET, MVC and PHP. Along with fellow members of the development team, I work to solve problems in the design and build-out phases.
Currently, I am involved in a major site redesign for disaboom.com, focusing heavily on improving user experience, accessibility and standards compliancy. This project has given me a chance to expand my creativity, leadership and coding skills.
