Research areas: New Product Marketing; Buyer-Seller Negotiations, Relationship Marketing, Retail Location Decisions. Pioneering work with Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms for addressing Marketing problems. Co-developer of Decision Support System PRODLINE for product line designs; developer of NEGOTIAT, a negotiation training simulator. Currently: developing a DSS for Market Segmentation; an interdisciplinary project on “the Long Tail” evolution of capital markets.
Published in journals including: Management Science, Journal of Consumer Research, Psychometrika, Economics Letters, International Journal of Conflict Management, Journal of Direct Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, and Journal of Health Care Marketing. Ranked among five best reviewers in 2005 to 2007 by Marketing Science. Editorial board of Journal of Product and Brand Management & Psychology & Marketing.
Courses taught: New Product Marketing, Advanced Marketing Strategy, Marketing Engineering, Marketing Research, Operations Management, and Marketing Management. Developed courses include: Marketing Decision Support Systems, Customer Satisfaction Models, and Marketing Management Laboratory. Teaching recognitions include: Business Instructor of the Year by UWB Business students; five time nominee or finalist for University's Distinguished Teaching Award; two time Best Professor by the MBA students.
Consulted with, and supervised market research studies for, a number of companies. Conducted Executive programs, company seminars, after dinner speeches. Presentations in: United States, Europe, India, Israel, and Japan. Two year stint as Acting Director of the Business Program - responsible for running the business school. Successfully spearheaded the AACSB accreditation. Listed among the Top 300 most prolific management scholars over a ten year period (1997 INFORMS survey); MARQUIS' multiple editions including Who's Who in America, 2009 edition. President of Beta Gamma Sigma, UWB Chapter.
