Telenor decided that providing IT outsourcing services wasn't "core business", and sold the business unit to EDB.

Still doing UNIX and Oracle administration for Trondheim kommune, until Statoil decided they wanted me back, to work on HPC, sub-surface applications etc. Under contract to Statoil full-time January 2005 through September 2005. October 2005 through October 2006 40% Statoil and 60% Trondheim kommune (nominally).
Since then only sporadically at Statoil, mostly Trondheim kommune.

In addition to general Unix system administration, I was involved in several projects, including implementation of a highly-available file server cluster. I was technical liaison between Statoil and the NOTUR super computing site.
When Statoil centralized system administration to HQ in Stavanger at the end of 2002, and the rest of the Telenor team left, Statoil retained my services for another year, supporting part of the sub-surface application portfolio, and various high-performance computing related tasks, including LSF administration.
