In this position I took it upon myself to create a bridge between the electronics side of Sony and the content side. I did this by developing project proposals for collaboration between various groups. My biggest accomplishment was to be the catalyst for a mobile phone project in which I brought together a key R&D lab in Tokyo with my team in LA. Over the course of a year we developed a number of concept prototypes, from personal media sharing, to location-based services, and group coordination. This project is now positioned to be in the Japanese market by early next year and continues to be one of the better chances Sony has to coordinate a corporate strategy for personal media.
