As an intrapreneur I focus on innovation and creativity to transform an initiative called “Rationalizer” into a profitable venture. Core to this project is research and development of emotion sensing from a business, scientifical and technological point of view. At the same time I scout business opportunities for ABN AMRO Dialogues Incubator. I develop these opportunities from ideas to business cases to new ventures.

As head of ABN AMRO’s 3D Experience team my primary focus is creating new business opportunities for ABN AMRO on 3D virtual worlds and making the organisation ready to adopt and adapt to this new channel.
Second Life started in 2006 the first major hype for Virtual Worlds as a new platform. 2007 brought the inflated expectations of Second Life and the disillusionment of overrated business opportunities.
What still remains is the platform of Virtual Worlds with the potential to become a new, immersive way of communicating.
I am currently researching the possibilities, trends and realistic expectations for the 3D, social platforms. Distilling trend from hype and potential from hopeful entrepreneurial opportunism.
