Building an internal company product to automate the approval and registration of new products. The system was built using CakePHP, a framework that utilizes the Model-View-Control achitecture and allows a PHP developer achieve an extensible and easily maintainable system without resorting to Ruby on Rails. The system uses MySQL as a database server, but due to the abstraction level provided by the framework, it could easily be switched to any kind of database server. The product is tested and used on a worldwide corporate level.
