Recruited 28 restaurant partners in Washington, DC to donate chefs meals to volunteers who submit a photo or video clip as proof of their efforts to serve the community throughout the holiday season. It works like an advent calendar, with a new restaurant featured everyday from Dec 1 through Christmas.
I host a culinary video blog and travel in my free time to interview chefs at top restaurants around the world. Five minute interviews take you behind the scenes of the world's finest culinary artists.
After experiencing cardiac arrest 50 yards in front of the finish line at Abe's Amble 10K in Springfield, IL, where I died for 3 minutes and was revived, I have become an advocate for obtaining CPR training, which 70% of Americans are not experienced in or would not feel comfortable providing to a bystander in need. Semper Fi House aims to provide reduced cost housing for both former and future Marines at public college campuses around the nation. Our organization helps Marines take advantage of their GI Bill rights (only 60 percent currently do) and find jobs in the real world after they graduate.
CREATED CONCEPT FOR NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION to assist Marines in pursing educational opportunities under the Post-9/11 GI Bill, to provide mentorship opportunities and to strengthen the Marine Corps community particularly for returning combat veterans.
SOLICITED AND OBTAINED PRO-BONO LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO ESTABLISH A 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. Established and maintained effective working relationships with attorneys, partners, vendors and other officials.
