Prateek Pandya’s Summary
I have experience in spectroscopic techniques towards Drug-Receptor interactions with particular emphasis on Drug-DNA Binding. I have used UV-Absorbance spectroscopy, UV-Fluorescence spectroscopy and NMR spectroscopy. I have studied NMR structure evaluation of DNA decamer duplexes.
In addition, I have also worked on a number of software for drug design and other theoretical modeling protocols. I have used MOE, Discovery Studio, AutoDock and other online software tools for my research work. I have successfully evaluated the binding of various small molecules with DNA duplexes.
I have extensive knowledge of computer system and software used in research.
. During my research, i have traveled extensively to several reputed scientific institutions like IITs, CSIR institutions, TIFR, etc for work purposes.
I have successfully completed a 3 years project on Drug-DNA Interaction of newer compounds from University Grant's commission (INDIA).
I am interested in working on Structure based Drug Design and other drug discovery projects for novel drug design not specific to anti-cancer drug development. I am also quite eager to learn the interaction of drug molecules to their receptors like DNA, RNA and Proteins using simple, qualitative methods to detailed structural identification protocols like absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, NMR and theoretical methods.
I would like to work on high throughout screening methods for drug discovery and development. In the long term I would like to work on the development of novel strategies for drug design and testing.
