Senior architect and software engineer with over 20 years of experience in Unix, Java and C languages programming, and Internet engineering.
I am interested in advanced developments and innovative solutions prototyping. Focused more recently on projects involving the design and implementation of Web Access Management and Federation solutions based on open-source software and technologies mostly originating from Sun Microsystems including; Glassfish, OpenESB, OpenDS, and OpenSSO, as well as other open-source products.
Currently working on finalizing my MBA at GGSB. My master thesis objective is to deep dive into analyzing the business opportunities and impediments of cloud computing from the point of view of small and medium businesses.

Independent consultant working on the design and development of innovative web applications with a particular focus on open-source software in general, and Sun Microsystem's open-source technologies in particular. It includes Glassfish J2EE Application Server and the Metro stack, Open Directory Server (OpenDS), Web Access Management and Federation (OpenSSO), as well as other applications of the Java Enterprise System (JES) products suite.
I am the initial and main contributor of the Information Card (Cardspace) authentication module of the OpenSSO platform. I continue developing and maintaining this software component on a regular basis.

Hired in SMI CTO for the Ulysses project. Ulysses was an advanced development project sponsored by Rob Gingel, head of the SMI Technology Office. The goal was to produce a product-quality prototype that can perform automated Service Level Management (SLM) functions over the applications of the Java Enterprise Systems suite. Produced software and a patents on the design and implementation of the Telemetry component based on OSS/J QoS and JMX. Filed a patent on the SNMP/JMX bridge I developed for this project.
Worked on the design and implementation of a turnkey Weblog Server Appliance proof-of-concept to be deployed on Solaris/Linux-Xen virtual machines.

Initiator and lead architect of the Java Enterprise System Monitoring Framework. The objective of this project was to conceive and deliver a general framework and tools for developers to expose service-affecting data such as, faults, resource usage, operational status and performance data in a uniform and consistent manner via a CIM model representation of the managed objects and a JMX implementation support.
