As Manufacturing Engineer for DEL Ozone I was responsible for efficiency, quality, and engineering support on industrial and pool ozone generators. I worked on facility improvements and production line layout and developed PLC-based automated test stands. I led a matrix team for quality and decreased the number of manufacturing defects from 8 per unit to less than 0.5 per unit over six months by updating production documents such as engineering drawings, as well as maintaining tooling, and providing training. I worked closely with our engineering team on improving the manufacturability and overall design of the TrioPure product. I designed and documented the manufacturing process, performed time studies, and made engineering drawings for outsourcing wire harnesses. Once production began on the TrioPure line I performed production scheduling and addressed defect issues with foreign and domestic suppliers. I directly managed up to 8 production employees.
