Paul Tate’s Summary

Paul M Tate BSc FCA – graduated from Manchester University with a BSc in Mathematics. Trained and qualified (ACA 1981) with Touche Ross & Co (Now Deloitte Touche) in Burnley Lancashire. Then moved to the British Alcan Aluminium in the group accounting function. After a stint with Glaxo Holdings, returned to Alcan to manage the finance function of their newly created Separations division (FCA in 1993). In 1994 created a new group accounting function for a Sierra Leone Titanium mining group, following the hostilities in the mid nineties was forced to embark on a portfolio career as an interim manager utilising his combined accounting and IT skills.
In 2003/2004 successfully campaigned to enable local exchange with broadband and has subsequently created the UK’s largest (by area) community broadband network in the Wychwood Forest, Oxfordshire.

Current assignments as an interim manage, virtual finance directorare primarily in the SME and Third sectors of the economy using both IT and accountancy skills.
