I spent the last 20 years in telecom and internet convergence space and made 5 companies that were all acquired. In the past 7 years, I have been concentrating on the web 2.0 space with user generated content and marketing as the primary driver.

As a veteran in building, funding, and delivering consumer internet plays, my company provides consulting to internet start ups in key areas and assists in developing a solid plan for starting, funding, technology choice, recruting, and marketing. The combination will insure the highest chance of a successful exit and making all stake holders very happy with the outcome.
The key to success in this day and age is User Generated Everything. On top of the pyramid is user generated marketing aka virality. This is an area that I can significantly workto advantage for the startups that I engage with. Included in this area are a/b testing, up to the minute analytics, invitation management, and infrastructure for fast deployment of the results learned. Through these same methods, we achieved an earth shattering growth rate and achieved 10 million users in record time at jaxtr.
Additionally in VP of Engineering role, we can work directly with developers and provide guidelines to increase efficiency significantly by recruiting key employees, using new/different technologies, using temporary strategic consultants, educating the team, or simply many common sense techniques that yield better, faster, and cheaper results.
As far as funding and raising money goes, we have worked closely with the who is who both in angel space and VC's. We have relationships with companies such as DFJ, Mayfield, August Capital, Tanaya Capital, Mangrove Capital and Funders Fund. Knowing which angel or VC (and which partner in particular) to approach for the particular space is half the battle.
We also help fill missing seats in new aspiring start ups. Placing the right VP Technology or a veteran in the space to be taken over can make the difference in saying yes or no in a VC meeting. We have significant connections with the celeb list of the silicon valley.
Companies that we work with are innovative and place user experience as the number 1 job in the company.
