I had the fortune of starting my professional career by participating in the formation of one of the first Internet Service Providers that would reshape the Portuguese Market - IP Global. Being a small and versatile company, I had contact with various technical aspects of this business: network management, service and server management, technical support, database management and web-based services development.

After IP Global was acquired by Sonae, this know-how was put into use in the development of the Clix branded internet service launched in 1999 by participating in the development of the information system that would support the business. With the eCommerce boom, I was involved in the technical development of the Online Shopping service - Clix Shopping - and further support in project development of various Clix services, always, with the concern of bridging business with technical needs.

As the telecommunication market evolves, there is a need of closing the gap between business needs and the services and quality the IT provides. In this perspective, presently, I'm involved in the reforming of Sonaecom's Production Unit in order to garantee it assures quality levels for the IT Services provided to Sonaecom's various units (Clix, Optimus, Kanguru, Rede4). This envolves the redefinition of the Production Mission, reorganization of the team structure, based on ITIL best-practices, and selection of the technical tools necessary for this purpose.
