Pilar Jerico’s Summary
PhD in the field of management and a first degree in economics and management from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Strategy at Harvard University and Organizational behaviour at UCLA. Considered In Spain and South America to be a pioneer in talent management and the analysis of the impact of fear in companies.
Writter of two books which have received especially widespread attention. NoMiedo (Grupo Planeta, 2006) which describes the role which fear plays in our lives and how to overcome it. This has been translated into Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese. It will also be published in English by Plagrave in 2009. Other well-known book is about talent management: Gestión del Talento: Del profesional con talento al talento organizativo (Prentice Hall, 2001). An adaptation of this book was published in Dutch in 2004. Also co-author of several books about people management, leadership and personal and professional development within companies.
Lectures in business schools around the world, including the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid and ESADE. Also a professional conference speaker. Over the last few years has given more than 150 talks in many different countries (Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Monaco, Portugal, Paraguay, Spain, Venezuela, and the USA). Frequently appears in the press, radio and television.
Currently Managing Partner of the consulting group InnoPersonas. In this capacity she working with more than fifty companies, including Sun Microsystems, Grupo Santander, Saint Gobain, Disney and Hertz. Previously was Director of Talent Management at HayGroup and Director of Knowledge Management at the Euroforum Escorial Business School.
As a consultant, has overseen leadership development and organizational behaviour programs in national and multinational companies in Europe and South America. Also carried out research funded by different companies to determine the degree of commitment, satisfaction and motivation of their staff.
