As part of my degree, I completed a year long work placement, as a web designer, for Manchester City Council's Education Department. It was here, where I honed my skills in the field of web design.
I produced the first incarnation of MEWAN (mewan.net) which at the time was the internet start page for the majority of primary schools in Manchester.
I also successfully created a CMS for the management of education courses. The system was easy to use for administrators and end-users.
