Thunderbolt was originally an experiment when I was first learning to make websites, but it's since grown beyond my wildest expectations. Today we have around twenty volunteer writers and editors based worldwide and tens of thousands of visitors each month. I do a variety of jobs, including strategic planning, development, recruitment, editorial work and writing articles.

In Group Engineering Services, I worked as part of a team of software engineers on a large web application. In addition to programming, I helped to improve the usability of the application and promoted web design best practices. I also gave a presentation on usability to the entire department.
In the Applied Technology Centre, part of BT Innovate, I worked on several smaller research projects. These included the subjects of broadband, videogames, networks and the web.
