I am a 'critical' marketing communications academic, writer, trainer and consultant.
With Nick Wilde, I wrote 'Marketing & PR' for A&C Black (2007) and I have just finished a new book - 'Virtually Free' - about online marketing for small businesses and other enterprises. It will be published in October 08.
I research non-traditional organisations and their application of marketing ideas (as well as their innovation of non-marketing or meta-marketing strategies) and spcialise in utilising Bourdieu's sociological theory.
I have devised training for small businesses and nonprofits and developed and led masters level courses.
I spent six years as director of a marketing communications agency and still maintain contacts with the industry. I have over 20 years' experience of communications in several industries and have been consulted by many companies, SMEs and national organisations.
