I enjoyed the last two years being instrumental in bringing FlexiScale to market. This started back in mid-2006 when we were doing engineering and prototyping, looking at business models and so forth, then pretty much single-handily organising the formal product launch with the help of an external marketing & PR agency. The thrill and buzz seeing a product grow from an idea on a piece of paper to actually see it being launched at a key industry event (FOWA 2007 in London), was amazing.
Since then, we made major progress and after spending hours with analysts from Gartner Group, Forrester Research, IDC, Yankee, Butler Group, 280 Group, Tier 1 and others getting official recognition was the pinnacle of all hard efforts. I find the direct comparison with Amazon EC2 particularly flattering.
