Senior Vice President, Edelman Digital
Greater Chicago Area
I have 12 years of experience in communications, mostly in the B2B and technology sectors, with a smattering of consumer assignments thrown in there for spice and flavor.
My current passion is helping to elevate how account teams at my current employer, Edelman, serve clients by engaging with online communities. In addition to my counseling assignments, I teach week-long "immersions" in social media and hold "open labs" where teams freely explore emerging forms of communications. I'm also supervising the development of a distance learning system.
My proudest achievements are:
- Being among the very first in my profession to see the corporate communications value in social media and emerging forms of communications.
- Helping clients earn Technology Pioneer recognition at the World Economic Forum... Twice.
- Guiding a client to award-winning corporate blogging success.
- Becoming a founding senior fellow for the Society for New Communications Research.
- Developing comprehensive education programs in the intersection between social media, corporate communications, and media relations.
- Avoiding dot-com craziness by focusing my career on innovators like SRI, Matrix Semiconductor, Cornice, CopperEye, etc.
