Petz left Luxembourg to study eco-design in London. Her studies also took her to the small Tanzanian island Pemba, the Catalan capital Barcelona where she worked with Curro Claret and Javier Mariscal, and, the Netherlands where she worked for Demotech, designing for theThird World. She hurried back to London just in time to finish off her ba eco-design course with her final project locaLunch, a food service for office workers in Central London, in 2004. After a project for Thomas Heatherwick Studio she moved back to Barcelona where she’s living now, working on her R3project (sustainable renovation blog) and as a freelance eco-designer; product and service design, consultancy and concept development. Petz is also a writer for TreeHugger.com and Infonomía, and has (re)starting the eco-network o2Spain with some friends. In 2006 she also took up teaching eco-design at the European Institute of Design (IED) and the design school ELISAVA. In 2008 she became the Pecha Kucha organiser for Barcelona.
Petz loves travelling, speaking 5.5 languages and getting to know different cultures, capturing moments with her camera, making practical and fun things, working in a team and growing things on her balcony.
