Web Editor for the Chronicle of Philanthropy
Washington D.C. Metro Area
Web editor for philanthropy.com, the Web site for the Chronicle of Philanthropy in Washington D.C., and publisher of a start-up Web site called GlobalErie.com -- an online community of people who have ties to Erie, Pa.
A print journalist by training, I'm now working to reshape the way news content is presented online and I'm experimenting with tools like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook to expose this work to a new breed of news consumers.
Previously, I've worked in online and print journalism at the Erie Times-News, SchoolSports Inc., and Community Newspaper Co. in Boston.
Along the way, I've earned awards from organizations such as Investigative Reporters and Editors, the National Headliner Awards and the Inland Press Association and have penned feature articles for Reader's Digest, Symphony, HOPE, and Computerworld.
I'm open to hearing your ideas for how we can make philanthropy.com better -- and for opportunities as a freelance writer.
