The Innovation Center Lead Facilitator's role involves working directly on client engagements held at the Vanderbilt Center for Better Health (VCBH).
The Innovation Center is used primarily by VCBH as it works with organizations to support transformational change in healthcare, including product design, development of the personal electronic health record, system design and policy change. Peter works directly with the VCBH clients and subject matter networks to create individually crafted workshops and collaborative design events for professionals from private and public health care settings.
The VCBH uses Vanderbilt's unique ability to bring clinical and biomedical informatics professionals together to discover optimal interactions between people, process and technology. The ultimate goal is to significantly improve the quality of care in the US, and to quantifiably decrease the numbers of preventable deaths.
