I started my professional career in the online world in 1999 at my old university (Plymouth Uni.) to teach web-design for the Media Arts faculty. This involved writing courses, giving masterclasses, offering conceptual and technical advice and expertise, and being solely responsible for web-design learning in the faculty (200+ full-time students). During this time some friends and I founded MediumArt - a network of artists exploring the online world for the first time.
After a brief stint working in Exeter for a web design company, I moved to the Midlands and began being involved with elearning - a specialism that runs until today.
I've also worked in the internet departments of corporates and government agencies in varying roles from technical team leader to general dogsbody.
I am now a freelance contractor, and am always on the lookout for new interesting projects - although at the moment I am a senior lead developer at an elearning organisation and quite happy there.
