Project Manager at Net Media Planet
London, United Kingdom
At the beginning of 2008 I transferred to digital media after working for some years as a print journalist and editor. I now work as the editorial project manager at Net Media Planet, responsible for managing content across a range of leading websites for clients such as Dell, McAfee and Symantec.
Working as part of one of a new generation of Google companies has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how digital media works. I’ve established websites and blogs, hired journalists and translators, and implemented social media and SEO strategies across a number of sites.
Along the way I’ve worked with some extremely talented teams. At Net Media Planet we’ve won the Internet Commerce Excellence Award and been nominated for the Best Publisher Award at the A4U Expo. The company is thriving and I’m now a part of a team that works across 27 countries, in different 17 languages and generates annual client revenues of over £80 million. In June 2009, New Media Age ranked Net Media Planet at the fourth largest search company in the country and in September 2009 the Times cited the company as the 16th fastest-growing private technology firm in the UK.
I've now four years experience of creating and managing digital publications in both Spain and the UK. I've also worked as the editor of an international magazine and managed the editorial department of another.

I've written freelance articles for a variety of publications (both magazines and newspapers) based in the UK and Europe over the past five years. I initially worked as a music journalist but during the past few years have moved towards reviewing books and film.
I have continued to maintain my journalism, and currently write around three freelance articles a month for various publications.

As online content editor at Net Media Planet I managed all content across a range of consumer website for a number of A-brand clients, including Sky, Dell, McAfee and Symantec.
I was responsible for a team of content writers and translators who worked across all European markets on websites that generated annual client revenues of more than £80 million.

September 2006 — January 2008 (1 year 5 months)
Editor of a popular lifestlye magazine published in Madrid. I worked with a talented team of designers, writers and marketing executives who helped establish the publication and quickly build its readership and revenue. My brief was to co-ordinate the growth of the publication, determine the style and voice of the magazine and hit company objectives.
Both the readership and advertising revenue of the magazine roughly doubled during my time as editor, and it continues to be one of the most recognised in its sector.
