Pete Lacis’s Summary
I am a native of New Jersey, and graduated from Rutgers University in 1996 with a degree in Political Science. I thought my dream job was to become a lobbyist. Soon after graduation I secured an entry level lobbying position at MWW Group, one of the nation’s top PR firms. Due to my natural understanding of all things tech, fate directed me away from governmental affairs and into the world wide web of technology. Before I knew it, I was the VP of Technology at MWW Group, and the youngest member of the Executive Board in the company’s history. While at MWW, I was responsible for email systems, network infrastructure, security, accounting systems, interactive marketing, web design, and video production.
After 10+ years in the corporate IT world, I decided it was time for a change. So in April 2007, I left the east cost to become a serious entrepreneur and musician in Denver, CO. I am President of Phaseous LLC, a Technology Solutions company that specializes in interactive design, search engine optimization, branding and online marketing for small to mid-sized businesses. I also serve as the Managing Partner, Operations for Girls Fight Back, a women’s safety & empowerment company founded by my wife and partner, Erin Weed. When not combating search engine rankings or violence against women, I work as an international studio musician/sideman with an emphasis on guitar.
