Graduated form Kendall College of Art & Design in May of 2007 with a BFA in Digital Media Design. Prior to graduating I took the lead layout and typography artist position at Take Charge Productions, a small magazine publisher. I also was elected Team Lead for the Interactive Production team at Kendall in which I did project management and design direction as well as client relations. In August of 2007 I was hired on at Spout.com, a social network with 200,000 plus members, as their Design Integrator and first in-house designer. I specialized in HTML emails and WordPress blog administration. I also did a bevy of other tasks involving heavy html and css. I also contributed to the marketing team and co-created a marketing campaign that let to the highest traffic in the sites history, I also led the blog to quadruple its traffic through SEO and social bookmarking methods.

Supplied 24 hour support for SpoutBlog.com, created a campaign that brought the highest traffic in Spout history, quadrupled the traffic at SpoutBlog with SEO and Social networking tactics.

Created non-profit promotional materials that were taken from concept to completion. Led a team of twelve to produce an interactive DVD that required filming interviews, green screening, copy writing, 3D modeling and rendering, film editing, special effects, authoring, testing, and package design. We also produced signage and a variety of print materials for a children's camp. Helped teach peers, learned that I am an excellent leader.

Streamlined the process to allow faster turnaround and increased workload. Made frequent visits to printer for print checks, offered my unique point of view to a side of the industry that was foreign to me and did very well.

Created a database of projects dating back to 1998. Worked with the head of IT on various projects both hardware and software. Filled in as head of IT for one week. Helped with advice on web and print projects. Hanon-McKendry at the time was West Michigan largest and most awarded firm.

PSU was a great introduction into higher education. I started as an Illustration major and added Graphic Design as a second major after the first year. I transfered to Kendall because the art program at PSU was fledgling and I wanted a more focused and challenging experience.
