Player quotes:
• “I got tired of EQ2 about a year ago and wouldn't still be playing if it wasn't for all the things that have been added to crafting - most of all attention and care.”
• “In all seriousness, you are a damned brilliant developer, and only partly because you are hard-working and talented, but also because you actually take the time to COMMUNICATE with us, the great unwashed player-base of EQ2. As a result, you are well-liked, and your updates and changes are frequently well-informed and well-received. You're a recipe for MMO, and MMO developer success.”
• [tradeskill epic quest] “Wow, this quest is what Epics should be all about: Great new gameplay elements - e.g. smoke generators for Bixies, rat traps (did you notice the way the rats moved towards the traps ?); The challenge is in completing the quest, not trying to start it ; It promoted co-operation between classes rather than competition; Reward is useful without being mega overpowering … Basically this quest was a perfect example of how to freshen things up and make the game fun again. It didn't rely on making stuff random or just so obscure it's pure luck that you make progress. 10/10
• [tradeskill group instance zones] “I just wanted to add that these crafting instances, and the quests built around them, have been nothing short of the best zones for me since...well, since I can't remember when. They're almost perfect in their construction, allowing great flexibility in how they're completed, by groups, small groups and solo crafters.”
