I attended Yale on a full scholarship from FAPESP, a research institute based in São Paulo, Brazil. Some of my research materials from that time found their way into my first book, "Indirect Procedures: A Musician's Guide to the Alexander Technique." More recently, Yale School of Music awarded me a generous grant through its AlumniVentures to help me finance the website for my book series, THE INTEGRATED MUSICIAN.

I belong to SCBWI (the Society of Children's Books Writers & Illustrators), AmSAT (the American Society for the Alexander Technique), ASTA (the American String Teachers Association), and APTA (l'Association Française des Professeurs de la Technique Alexander).
