Mark's passion stems from his success in launching technology companies, products and services in North America, Europe and Asia. His leadership in wireless and wireline telecoms, next generation mobile networks, IPTV and Fixed-to-Mobile Convergence (FMC), have been highly recognized. While leading Intel's broadband initiative within Intel Architecture Labs, Mark provided due diligence for Intel Capital investments in broadband. This resulted in joining and spearheading the launch of Intel-funded start-up NorthPoint Communications.

After a strong IPO and subsequent merger announcement between NorthPoint and Verizon, joined Montreal start-up Simpler Networks. Following the successful launch of the company in the carrier market, Mark joined AT&T Wireless (later Cingular, now AT&T) to lead the re-introduction of their data services offering (mMode).

In 2004 selected as one of the 40 most successful in the State of Oregon under the age of 40 by the Business Journal. Having lived and worked overseas, Mark has been instrumental in bringing two companies public and taking three international.

Mark is an adjunct faculty member of Portland State University in Portland, OR and Clark College in Vancouver. He is member emeritus of the Board of Directors for the DSL Forum and the W3C Mobile Web Initiative.
