I am currently seeking employment in the non-profit sector in Central Coast California. I moved to Pacific Grove six months ago from Northampton, Massachusetts, just as the economy was collapsing. I worked as an outpatient psychotherapist at a community Mental Health Center in Massachusetts for 3.5 years. Prior to that, I worked as a Team Therapist and Therapeutic Housemate at Windhorse Associates, Inc., an internationally recognized private mental health agency in Northampton for 4 years. I have also worked with developmentally delayed adults and children, and have experience is crisis assessment and drug and alcohol counseling. I have done a variety of work, including ten years in radio, and teaching art history on the college level. I am an artist, photographer, and my life, in some ways, revolves around spending time at the ocean, which I find renewing and exhilarating.
I have recently started a blog, pauljimerson.blogspot.com, and have been putting some of my writing, and a great deal of my photography, online.
Media relations, networking, outpatient psychotherapy, crisis counseling, assessment, drug and alcohol counseling, advocacy, electronic medical records, writing, case management.
