Paul is VP Research at SAP Research Americas and China. Paul was Director External Relations at SAP Research, Palo Alto. He has built the Academic Research Program for the SAP Labs. He has joined SAP Research Americas and China in 2006.
He has joined SAP in 2001 as Director for Business Developement EMEA SAP AG. Paul has created the Value Based Selling program for SAP in EMEA.
He was Plant Manager at BASF’s Catalysts Global Business Unit before joining SAP. In BASF's IT departement he has headed the developement of the companies object-oriented production planning and scheduling software.
Paul has a strong background in research as Senior Scientist and Assistant Professor at outstanding European and American Universities (Northwestern University, US; Munich Institue of Technology and Darmstadt Institue of Technology, Germany). He is an expert in computer simulations and graphics (PhD, research and teaching in Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos Theory).
He is the author of numerous publications and books, including a book on SCM and environmental information systems as well as Performance Management and Productivity of Supply Chains.
