I report on beat reporters pushing the practice of journalism on the Web. I assist beat reporters in making a transition to the Web by recommending online and social networking tools to help beat reporters connect with users on the Web and by promoting two-way communication between beat reporters and users.
In addition to content development, I design, code and implement new features for BeatBlogging.Org. I also use social networking tools like Twitter, delicious, Facebook, Digg and others to build brand awareness.

I founded and run this popular online journalism and Web development blog. I'm the lead writer, but the blog accepts contributions from other industry members and academics.
The Journalism Iconoclast will be going through a thorough redesign and will be adding more regular contributors.

I am an online journalist for Stripes, and I utilize a combination of traditional and new media journalism techniques. Any given project could entail me writing a story, capturing and editing audio, photos or video, coding a feature or standalone site or doing whatever else necessary to tell the story best to our readers.
On a daily basis, I make sure all of our printed content is on the Web site, and where stories get placed on the Web site through our content management system. I also post breaking news.
I also work on improving the site itself and design new features for www.stripes.com.
I offer guidance and training to other staff members because of my varied skills and training.
