Successfully provided planning, direction, and leadership to achieve the operating goals of the patient experience department. Spearheaded a team of 54 professionals responsible for International Patient Services; Language Culture and Disability Services; and Chaplaincy Services. Managed and allocated a $3.4M operating budget.
- Directed strategic transformation initiatives to optimize processes and improve international patient experiences as well as physician satisfaction.
- Negotiated and reviewed service contracts; directed third-party interpreter/translation services and executed $1M enterprise-wide Joint Commission compliant service contracts.
- Developed and implemented reporting tools and an operational metrics scorecard to provide visibility, transparency and enable informed decision making.
- Oversaw inpatient patient services for a highly diverse patient population, including providing 5,000 inpatient chaplaincy visits and 30,000 face-to-face interpreting sessions annually.
- Increased patient access to care, quality, and safety; while mitigating risk exposure and capturing a projected $500K in annual savings by implementing enterprise-wide Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).
- Re-engineered the staffing model and streamlined operational processes to accommodate a 12% increase in interpreter services while reducing labor costs by 13% for a savings of $100K.
