30 years of experience in the testing and analysis of package and products for shock and vibration hazards inherent in the distribution system. His experience is in the practical application of shock and vibration simulation theory to the analysis of the protective capabilities of packages.
Prior to co-founding DDL Inc., he worked as an employee of MTS Systems’ Shock and Vibration Division, and was involved as an application engineer in technical support of sales. He also managed the testing services laboratory.
Prior to his employment at MTS, Mr. Nolan was instrumental in setting up and managing the package testing laboratory installed at Ecolab Inc.
He is the Chairman of ASTM Committee D-10 on Packaging; a member of the subcommittee of ASTM Committee F2 on Flexible Barrier Materials; a former member of the Committee on Standards (COS) of ASTM; a member of AAMI; and a member of IoPP’s Medical Packaging Task Group.
