Reduced LOE by 240 Hours Per Month – Created an automated system that gleaned every new Area Code / Prefix combination from the Local Exchange Routing Guide each month, assigned proper routing (per the Least Cost Routing Plan above), and generated a file with commands to be uploaded to the switch. The implementation of this system reduced database entry of new and updated codes by 240 hours per month.

It also created another unanticipated, but most welcome benefit when the application of this system reduced customer dial related trouble tickets to nearly zero.

Company Saves $6.8 Million – Developed and implemented the Least Cost Routing plan for the Nextel Texas switches. This plan employed vectored local, interexchange and interoffice trunking to reduce interconnection charges to the Public Switched Telephone Network. Implementation of the dial plan saved the company $6,800,000 during the first year.
