Director, Executive Coach and Management Consultant at Mile One - Developing leaders, organisations and brands
Brighton, United Kingdom
Mile One helps to develop leaders, organisations and brands.
I have an unusual blend of hard (global supply chains, systems, projects) and soft (coaching, leadership development, change management) capabilities which allows me to help organisations and leaders at multiple levels: individual behaviour, team dynamics, business process, systems, strategy and change.
I've come from the retail world, where I worked for over a decade in senior positions at The Body Shop; current clients include many well-known retailers as well as international charities, business schools and consultancies.
I'm a visiting lecturer at the University of Brighton, where I have run seminars for post-graduate, MBA and second-year business studies students on business operations, quality and change management: and I have also taught at Cranfield School of Management and Warwick Business School on global team working, supply chain and communications.
This year, I have been developing the ReWork service for the charity Retail Trust. We aim to help people to restart their retail careers after redundancy. My work there has included writing a free online guide - you can follow the link below to have a look - and setting up free telephone coaching and career cafés for managers who have been made redundant.
Every few months I host The Extra Mile, free events in London and Sussex for independent coaches, trainers and consultants to meet, share ideas and learn from each other. These sessions allow us to top up our own professional development and get fresh and useful ideas from our peers.
The Extra Mile next takes place in Brighton on 31 July and then in London on 18 September. Contact info@mileone.co.uk for further details.
