As a Chief Thought Translator (aka Business Architect), Executives are thrilled to have someone that is easy-going, can help them uncover a new business strategy & define a roadmap for others to follow. Technologists are eager to have someone communicate effectively between business and IT.
All my successes can be attributed to my value-driven approach and effective communication style. I speak both languages. I’ve always been able to understand what the business wants, documenting it in a flexible architecture and roadmap so the hard-core techies could build it and business can start marching in the new direction.
In the past, I’ve helped develop some complicated systems for medium to large size companies that have helped transform their businesses. I started out as the bridge between business and IT. Many times I evolved into managing the projects through design and implementation.
Nowadays,
1. I consult to medium and large size businesses. My passion about learning new businesses and architecture enable me to help business refine it’s direction and architect a flexible IT infrastructure to support the business. I answer calls both from business executives and the technical community.
2. I speak (keynotes and seminars) to audiences consisting either of business or technical people (http://www.sbdi-consulting.com/keynote.shtml).
3. I write on the soft skills to help the business and technology communities build long term relationships. See my valuable tips ezine sbdi-consulting.com/RoEtip.shtml & related blogs: sbditipsblog.wordpress.com, communicatewithgeeks.wordpress.com
To further illustrate that I practice what I preach, review www.ScarletsFeathers.com. I applied all the hard and soft skills described above. It’s further proof that my approach works! Here, I build upon my skill to build that me-to-you connection that is imperative in any business (and personal) environment.
