The 2008 formation of Rock The Boat Marketing represents my conviction that digital strategies have the potential to transform financial services marketing. In small ways, in big ways, in ways I’m eager to be part of as a consultant and collaborator.
Since 1996, when I led a wee team in the development of the intermediary industry’s first Web site (Kemper.com), my passion has been directed toward the speed-to-market communications advantage and measurability of digital media.
In the third quarter of 2009, I founded AdvisorTweets, LLC, whose curated Web site AdvisorTweets.com aggregates the Twitter updates of U.S.-based financial advisors.
What follows is a partial list of what I’ve done. If you’re involved in financial services and you think it’s time to consider the possibilities, we should talk.
• Webcasts since 1997
• Online communities since 1998
• Web analytics since 2000
• Blogs since 2004
• Podcasts since 2005
• Online video since 2006
• Search engine optimization (SEO) since 2006
• Twitter since 2007
