Parand Tony Darugar’s Summary
I am responsible for adoption of scaling and grid technologies (hadoop, Pig) across the advertising business unit as part of the Apex/AMP project.
In a past role I managed the advertising platform groups, Yahoo! wide centers of expertise providing Java, Database, and other platform technologies across the company.
Previously I was part of the core Panama architecture team, a rebuild of Yahoo's major targeted advertising system. Panama was successfully launched in 2006 and serves as Yahoo's primary targeted advertising platform.
Prior to Yahoo, I was co-founder and Chief Architect of Blue Titan, a venture backed Web Services infrastructure software company. Blue Titan was sold to SOA Software in 2005.
Prior to Blue Titan, I was co-founder and Chief Architect of VelociGen Inc, a venture backed Web application acceleration and scaling software company.
