Legal Assistant at Gordon & Rees LLP
San Francisco Bay Area
I'm a San Francisco native who attended college locally, first obtaining a certificate in paralegal studies from City College of San Francisco before moving on to St. Mary's College. My experience in the legal industry spans more than a decade, although I was stolen away once for a brief, but notable, interlude in the tech industry where I was tasked with developing new online community initiatives and expanding the user/audience experience for companies such as CompuServe and ZDTV/TechTV.
During that time, I also co-authored (with Steve Syrmopolous) a book about online relationships entitled "Love, Lies and the Internet," which is still available through Amazon.com.
I recently completed a book about Nicasio, California as part of Arcadia Publishing's "Images of America" series of pictorial histories. This book features vintage photographs from local archives and personal collections, recounting tales of the Coast Miwok and early settlers of the mid 1800s up through current times. It is due out in June 2008 and is already available for pre-order on Amazon.com as well as Barnes & Noble (which has the better price: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Nicasio-California/Anne-M-Papina/e/9780738558028/?itm=1).
I continue to provide freelance Web design services through AP|Web Productions (www.apweb.com) as well as maintain my personal foodie Web site Webicurean (www.webicurean.com).
