A seasoned software architect, Paolo has spent nearly two decades developing complex software solutions, garnering a deep understanding of tagging, architecting, social media, networking, and software development to his work.
Paolo’s love of technology began early. First working at his family’s distribution company, Paolo eventually struck out on his own, incorporating his first business, Studio Idea, at age 18. It was at this time he began working extensively with the multimedia tools that were proliferating the market – including Macromedia’s Director.
After spending several years developing web sites for companies – including Assicurazioni Generali, a large insurance company based in Trieste as well as the Chamber of Commerce of Trieste – Paolo began developing and distributing easy-to-use, powerful tools that would enable clients to build sites for themselves.
Securing some funding in 1999, Paolo faced a challenge two years later when the Internet Bubble burst and his investors decided to close down the business. Rather than let his work be fully liquidated, Paolo bought back the technology from his investors, and in 2003 re-launched the business as Evectors Software and began rebuilding.
Through the next five years, Paolo continued building Evectors evolving the platform, called kCollector, into a powerful knowledge management system. With the new social media platform PagesPlus, released in early 2008, and after successful implementations with several clients including Mondadori, Il Sole 24 Ore and others, Paolo began expanding the company’s reach into new markets.
Paolo currently lives in Goriza, Italy.
