Director, Insights & Digital Media at Nemo Design
Portland, Oregon Area
I am a founding member of the highly-influential post-punk band, Gang of Four, whose debut album, Entertainment! was recently included in the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" by Rolling Stone magazine. Recently Gang of Four's song 'Natural's Not In It' was the title track in the Sophia Coppola film, 'Marie Antoinette.'
I have spent the last ten years working in the online, interactive and digital arenas with companies as varied as Intel, eMusic.com and Overland Entertainment. I started my own online company Pampelmoose LLC in 2004.
In early 2006 Pampelmoose changed business direction to focus entirely on its highly-trafficked blog, Pampelmoose.com In the same year Pampelmoose became aligned with Nemo Design (Nemodesign.com), a Portland-based integrated branding, marketing and design shop whose clients include Nike, HP, Smith Optics and Mastercraft to name a few. In February 2008 I was promoted to a new position at Nemo Design. As Director, Insights & Digital Media I am responsible for all of the companies outward facing PR and communications via the Internet. I will continue to work closely with Nemo Design's Interactive Department as it continues its expansion and growth.
My roles include being a blogger and being the content editor for all of the company's blogs. I will also continue to be an evangelist and networker for one of the Northwest's most talented design firms in both the print and interactive worlds. Nemo Design offers brand development and integrated marketing through print, web and TV and the team has extensive experience in interactive campaigns including motion, flash and 3D. We do integrated campaigns and develop brands. Clients and projects include Nike, HP, Smith Optics and more.
I was recently voted to the Board of the Northwest Chapter of NARAS, more commonly known as the Grammy's.

Pampelmoose was formed in February of 2004 by a coalition of likeminded creative individuals with strong ties to the local Portland, Oregon music scene.
Our team believes that the current music recording and distribution system is broken. With the vast array of new technologies now available providing musicians and labels with the means to market, promote and distribute their products via the internet, new eco-systems have been created rather like Nerve-nets, that spawn from each other and keep growing exponentially. With that in mind we consider the music recording and distribution system rather gauche and old-fashioned. The answer is the internet. It has provided us with a carte blanche on which we can impose our ideas. Everything is possible.
